Are armor plates included with this VISM Plate Carrier?

No. Armor plates are not included. This product includes the plate carrier and its specified carrier components. Compatible armor is sold separately.

What size does this plate carrier fit?

This model is identified by VISM as a Medium–2XL plate carrier. Adjustable shoulder straps and the adjustable cummerbund allow the fit to be customized within the manufacturer's intended size range.

What is the advantage of the reversible cummerbund?

The reversible design provides two configuration options. One side features MOLLE webbing for compatible modular accessories, while the other provides a storage pocket on each side with hook-and-loop securing flaps.

Can MOLLE accessories be attached to this carrier?

Yes. PALS webbing provides attachment points for compatible MOLLE/PALS pouches and accessories.

Are the shoulder pads removable?

Yes. The shoulder pads are removable and also feature PALS webbing for additional configuration options.

Does the plate carrier itself provide ballistic protection?

No. An empty plate carrier should not be relied upon for ballistic protection. Protection depends on the compatible armor installed and that armor's tested rating, condition, fit, and specifications.

How is the cummerbund adjusted?

Eyelets and an adjustable bungee cord at the rear allow the cummerbund length to be adjusted for a more customized fit.
